SoS UW Rit - Where can it farm?
Hi, I've just started doing the UW solo with my SoS rit and also sometimes take along a hero and go Rt/Me for arcane mimicry+ SoGM. Atm, im clearing labyrinth, up the ice wastes (tried taking smites on a few times, but no luck there :P) and Started to do the mountains as well now. I was just wondering if any more exp SoS Rits who do UW could tell me where else can i farm in UW, and also is anyone has a map of the route they take while they farm?
Thanks

You can kill the Smites. It's a bit tricky but possible. Spread the spirits out so they don't all get hit by Zealot's Fire. Recreate spirits when they die. String them out so the smites waste time running between each one. Avoid using Shadowsong because they have Mend Condition.
Not sure on the name of places (my UW experience is very limited) but I've been out through the area with the Obsidian Behemoths, all of the starter area, and a bit of Chaos Plains (I hear this is completable, but I had no idea where I was going at the time and overaggroed).

I sort of soloed them once. I probably would have got them but I was going up a steep hill and couldn't pull them into my spirits without them being within casting range. As long as you're careful and the mob isn't too big you should be fine.

Firstly check wiki for uw map which will be of great help ( or look at top of topic list for cerbs uw guild - outdated but has maps ), next is ..uw is split into 4 sub areas - chaos plains, dead pools, ice wastes and vale ( been ages since i had to name so if wrong correct me ).Now from your start point and upon completing the first quest to open up all areas - it doesnt really matter where you go as such as each sub area has only 1 entrance - 1 route only to ice wastes etc.Farming purposes players hit only 2 to 3 places , ice wastes and smites , chaos plains for mindblades and the area next to chaos plain with the dryders - these areas have a lot of ecto dropping foes cept ice wastes which has a small number but easier to reach.

Cheers for that. Used to 600/smite the UW, and did a fair bit of sin farming down there too, so i know my way around pretty well. I still have the map up though cause never hurts to have it just incase.
Atm, im only farming labyrinth, mountains and aiming to hit Chaos planes in my next run, just after a route and possible time some of the more seasoned UW rits do when they make a trip

Lightning orbs can be dodged pretty easily, just pay attention when they are casting it and dodge it. Should save you from some damage!

yes the charged blackness creatures are a large problem for me usually hitting me with glimmering mark and their chain lighting my advice is dont attack untill you have full health summon all spirits then run just outside range summon spirits use a longbow and RUN

You can pretty much clear the entire UW. Here is everything cept Ice Wastes & Mountains. (Behemoths dont drop Ecto so I dont usually do the mountains. I also only kill the Skeletons in The Forgotten Vale as nothing else drops Ecto in the Vale.)

Confirmed, you can clear UW and do a fair number of the quests. Mountains are pointless as there are no ectos there.

This is what I'm interested in too, how long was the run where you got them 15 ectos. Might actually get my rit to ToA..

I cleared FoW in NM . Got FoW chest. Ive popped 6 reapers in UW. Problem is time. In my opinion id rather do speed clear.

NM, Ectos drop the same in HM as they do in NM.
Not positive on times, I take alot of breaks/get interrupted a lot with RL. I would guess about an hour and a half or so. Its not fast by any means. If youre looking for speed on a Rit, just clear the chamber, exit & repeat.

Charged can be killed if you're careful enough with agro and pulls. If you are still having problems killing them I'd strongly recommend bringing a shield with +10 against lightning dmg and a spear/sword so that not only do you take less damage from charged, but behemoths will stop attacking you.

30-35 minutes usually for me as SoS in NM to clear the chamber, kill the roaming Aataxe and Skeles and the Mindblades up the the bridge in Vale. I usually stop there as Smites take too long and I don't feel like going all the way to Plains.
Average maybe 2 ectos per run though so I'd rather farm elsewhere.
(Deja Vu posting this...)

I usually go down with a partner. This makes it far safer, since we can both take a ress, and are less likely to wipe. Usually, we clear chamber, then go to chaos planes via mountains. There, we only do the Wailing Lords. Banished Dream Riders CAN also be done, but take too long and I feel they don't drop too well. It's easier to just kill Wailing Lords, then run past the riders (they usually cast Empathy, hit you with 1-2 normal attacks, then return to their spots, since they don't follow for far)
Then we do all of Pits + Pools, and restart. Pools ist fairly easy with Earthbind + Wnaderlust, which makes Dryders a lot less dangerous. Pits is only hard because one can sometimes pull too many mobs, and spirits get distracted by chained souls...
In theory, using 2 Rits, pretty much everything can be farmed, but obviously, some things just take too long... Shouldn't be impossible solo, but I always felt that Wastes simply takes too long...
I should add that neither me nor my partner claim to be the fastest or best, but we have fairly solid times, whilst not being too serious about it. Maybe 2hrs for Chamber + Pits + Pools.

What Runes/Insignia would you use on a R/Rt spirit farm build. Also What Armor would be best

It doesn't really matter. maybe radiants and attunement. Attribute runes if you are primary rit, soul reaping, expertise, energy storage etc for various other provessions. But most of the time it's whatever.
